Reviews & User Feedback

Critic Reviews

The Verge: Joved the camera, smooth display, but criticized battery life

GSMArena: Great phone but marred by small battery and lack of fingerprint sensor.

Android Authority: Loved the software, said Motion Sense was pointless.

User Reviews

If you really liked a device, you may have hated a particular aspect of it: many users loved the camera quality but hated the battery life.

Many others thought Face Unlock was too fast (where it unlocked even with closed eyes).

Motion Sense was fun but useless.

Final Verdict

The Google Pixel 4 was a fantastic camera phone with super-fast software and a buttery display. But its mediocre battery life, absence of a fingerprint sensor and quirky Motion Sense diminished the Pixel 4\’s competitiveness against rivals like the iPhone 11 and Galaxy S10 when the phone arrived.

Would I recommend it today? Not

seriously—unless you’re getting it for a very low price. Unless you need the most basic of smartphones, even devices like the Pixel 5, Pixel 6, or higher are likely a better value.
